Escort Passport 9500ix Radar Detector (awesome Condition!!!)

I’ve this radar for just over a year now. It is in perfect condition, everything works just fine. No physical damage at all. I have driven all over the country with it and it always worked for me. The only marks on it are some extremely light wear marks on the back side and some dust in the really tight corners.

That aside, it is spotless. This is the top of the line model that escort makes and has saved me from some very close calls. Highway/city/auto signal strengths (currently set to highway).

Gps so you can mark speed traps (and will notify you in the future when approaching your marked location). Lockout feature to prevent radar from picking up automatic doors, speed signs (hit the button on the cord twice to lockout). Picks up red light cameras and will notify you when approaching an intersection with one. Different signal displays (like signal frequency, current speed, and some others). Each with their own sound, capable of picking up more than one of each signal at time (ie, two ka bands) and multiple signals (ie, two k bands and one x band).

Detects laser and has pop alert (police on patrol). Self learning technology so if there is a frequent area where it always goes off then after a few times it will eventually learn to stop reading that spot (after about 3 passes usually). Sms alerts (never knew how to use it). Voice alert (female only, but you feel like james bond when it talks).

Usb cable to connect to the computer for updates. The display is set to show your current speed (and is accurate within +/- 1mph). Power save feature (currently turned on). This turns off the radar after 4 hours of your car being off to save the battery. I have had no issues whatsoever with the gps except for tunnels (obviously). I have lived in colorado and wyoming and have driven through the mountains of other western states with no problems at all. The gps system can be turned off, but it will not show your speed or any marked locations (including red light cameras, any self learned areas, or locations you have marked). The effective range depends on the geography of where you live and drive.

I have picked up police radar from almost 10 miles out in places like iowa and nebraska all the way down to 500ft driving through the mountains and hilly areas. It is an escort, not a valentine so it. Show the where the signal is coming from.

That said, i have never been pulled over using this radar. Like i said, this might as well be in brand new condition. I have taken really good care of it and there are no defects at all with this unit.
My only problem is that it is blue. It’s hard on your eyes at night regardless of the brightness setting (unless you turn it to full dark mode where nothing is displayed). Lastly, i strongly recommend that you either have a pc or know someone with one. Program to update the unit currently. Works on windows based computers only!!! This will make a very good and safe. Be smart, drive safe, obey the laws!!

You can even back up your data or update the detector’s operating software (firmware), if needed. The database is updated weekly, and escort provides 90 days of downloadable updates for free. Defender database subscriptions are also available to keep you up to date on future speed traps, red light cameras and speed cameras.
